View from Space
weaves together the spirits of
Hendrix, Zeppelin, The Beatles, and other
innovators into a tapestry of cutting-edge rock.
The band is the brainchild of San
Francisco-based singer/guitarist Dave Cannaday,
whose national debut in 2005 included
"delivering] a blistering serving of
psychedelic-tinged blues" (Guitar World) as
Guitarmegeddon’s West Coast champion, while at
the same time enlisting bassist Doug Hafich and
drummer Bud Salvetti to execute their originals
"with a master’s touch" (Guitar Player). The
trio, then, drew the attention of Digidesign’s
Jordan Stoner, who would engineer and co-produce
the band’s latest effort, "View from Space"
(2008). In store for 2009, the group plans on
both performing live throughout California and
recording their next work.
