Take a Stand for Pride
Taking A Stand
San Francisco Pride is rebuilding its fleet of Market Street Rainbow Flags. Every June since 1984, Pride has flown rainbow flags on Market Street from the Embarcadero to the Castro. June 2013 will mark the 30th consecutive year we have been a part of the cultural landscape of San Francisco.
Our last flag purchase was in 1999. SInce then, the winds have frayed them, and many are beyond repair. San Francisco Pride is in need of your support to replenish our supply so we can keep this tradition alive.
Join us in taking a bold stand for the dignity and rights of LGBT people by making a generous online contribution today.
You can help us take a stand for LGBT dignity and community by making your donation online:
Each year, SF Pride also gives back tens of thousands of dollars in grants to Bay Area-based community nonprofits as part of our grant-giving Community Partners Program.
Your donation also helps us provide grant support to important charitable causes like:
- Project Open Hand, who since 1985 has been providing “meals with love” to people living with serious illnesses and to seniors in San Francisco and Alameda;
- Pets Are Wonderful Support, a volunteer-based organization that provides companion animals for low-income members of our community with HIV/AIDS and other disabling illnesses, as well as senior citizens;
- Shanti Project, which enhances the quality of life, health, and well-being of people living with breast cancer;
- ... and over 60 other nonprofits working on LGBT issues, HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, youth issues, and more.
A donation to SF Pride helps support dozens of diverse, nonprofit organizations in the community. Please join us, knowing you can give with Pride while supporting the critical work of building community and creating a safe spaces for LGBT people.
