Donate to SF Pride on Give Out Day and Keep SF Bright!Every June, brightly-colored rainbow flags are hung from the light poles up and down Market Street. The flags are a central feature of San Francisco’s annual LGBT Pride month. When they appear, the excitement really begins to grow for our spectacular Pride Parade.
San Francisco Pride is honored to continue this community tradition. Did you know it costs SF Pride up to $10,000 each year to install and maintain these beautiful symbols of unity?
In 2019, the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the visibility of our community continues to be crucial to our progress. The international symbol of the Rainbow Flags, first unfurled in San Francisco in 1978, is part of our heritage and a rallying call for inclusivity the world over.
Thank you from all of us at San Francisco Pride, and we will see you on June 29 and 30 for 2019 Pride, Generations of Resistance.
