San Francisco Toyota/SCION Deepen Their Support of San Francisco Pride & the LGBT Community Buy A Raffle Ticket, Win a SCION xB

The SF LGBT Pride Celebration Committee announces the second annual San Francisco SCION benefit raffle. The 2005 Scion xB Special Edition Raffle represents a continued and expanded relationship between SF Pride and Toyota Motor Sales, Corporate.

While San Francisco Toyota/ SCION has been a valued sponsorship partner for several years, 2005 marks the first year Toyota Motor Sales has made a solid commitment to Pride. The result of diligent work of Doug Donnellan, an outwardly gay General Manager and minority owner at San Francisco Toyota & SCION, the expanded participation benefits SF Pride and the LGBT Community by raising money for very worthy groups, but also highlights the importance placed on diversity within the Toyota Motor Corporation.

Lindsey Jones, SF Pride Interim Executive Director, said, "Doug is a remarkable guy and the driving force behind this raffle which will generate over $50,000 to support important local LGBT, HIV/AIDS and Breast Cancer community organizations. He is a visionary who makes things happen. Also, being an openly gay General Manager at San Francisco Toyota/SCION also makes Doug a role model for all."

Ticket purchasers will be vying for a Special Edition Scion xB. With limited availability, these tickets are in hot demand, and may be the only way to get a Scion xB. Tickets are on sale for, 1 for $10.00 or 3 for $25.00, and are available at the 2005 raffle beneficiaries: AIDS Emergency Fund, the LGBT Community Center, the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund, and the Castro Lions. The winner of the xB Special Edition Scion will be announced 15 August 2005 at the SF Pride Community Check/Scion Raffle/Parade Award Granting Extravaganza.

Doug Donnellan, said, "Being a member of the gay community and then being able to involve our company since 2001 in the Pride event is a thrill for me. Also, it has been a great partnership between SCION from the corporate side and the donation of the car from the dealer's side. It's a win-win from the standpoint of civic pride and involving Toyota and SCION from the corporate diversity view point. Many employees from the dealership get involved in our Pride initiative . it's a new understanding."

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration. The event theme is, "Stand Up, Stand Out, Stand Proud," and will be held the June 25/26 weekend. For more information about San Francisco LGBT Pride please visit our website at: www.sfpride.org.
