San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Committee Accepting Main Stage Entertainment Submissions

Performers are Invited to Submit Press Kits for Consideration

San Francisco, CA – 21 February 2008 – The San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Committee (SFLGBTPCC) is currently accepting submissions from musical artists to perform on the Main Stage. This is an opportunity for performers to showcase their talents and perform in front of hundreds of thousands of people who attend this world-renowned San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade.  

The deadline for submitting materials is March 21, 2008 by 5:00 p.m. We will not be able to consider any materials submitted after that date. 

Submission process is as follows:

  • Provide your contact information
  • Include your recent press, along with photos and your discography
  • Tell us about what type of music you perform and about your style and stage presence
  • Describe the largest audience you have performed for and your experience performing at  outdoor venues
  • Tell us also how you, your music, and your performance are relevant to Pride and its mission and purpose
  • Include a music CD of recent material.  If you have a DVD of a performance to offer, we would appreciate receiving that as well. 
  • Links to music and performances on your web site are very helpful and appreciated, but they are not a substitute for sending a CD and/or DVD

About the 2008 San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration & Parade
This year marks the 38th anniversary of the San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade.  This year’s theme is “United by Pride, Bound for Equality” and the event will be held over the weekend of June 28/29, 2008. With over 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors, and 20 community-run entertainment stages and venues, San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest LGBT event in the nation.
