Pride Now Accepting Main Stage Entertainment Submissions
Performers
are Invited to Submit Press Kits for Consideration
San Francisco, CA – 22 January 2009 – The San Francisco
LGBT Pride Celebration Committee (SFLGBTPCC) is
currently accepting submissions from musicians,
performers, and other artists interested in performing
on the annual Pride Celebration's Main Stage.
This is an opportunity for performers to showcase their
talents and perform in front of hundreds of thousands of
event goers at the nation's largest annual LGBT
gathering.
The deadline for submitting materials is
March 6, 2009 by 5:00 p.m.
The San Francisco Pride Celebration Committee will not
be able to accept materials submitted after the
deadline.
This
year, San Francisco Pride is asking interested artists
and performers to submit the following:

Contact information, including address, phone,
and email
-
Recent press coverage along with photos and
discography
-
A description of the type of music the artist
performs and about the artist's style and stage
presence
-
A description of the artist's largest audience
at a performance and the artist's experience
performing at outdoor venues
-
A blurb describing how the artist, the artist's
music, and the artist's performance are relevant to
Pride and its mission and purpose
-
A music CD of recent material; a DVD of a prior
performance is highly encouraged
-
Links to music and performances on the artist's
web site are helpful and appreciated but are not a
substitute for sending a CD and/or DVD

The San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Entertainment

Parade:
This year marks the 39th anniversary of the San
Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade. This year's
theme is "In Order to Form a More Perfect Union…," and
the event will be held over the weekend of June 27 and
28, 2009. With over 200 parade contingents, 300
exhibitors, and more than twenty community-run stages
and venues, San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and
Parade is the largest LGBT gathering in the nation. The
