 World AIDS Day

   Today, December 1st, is World AIDS Day.  Communities around the globe will be raising awareness about HIV/AIDS.  By wearing a red ribbon today, you can make a simple but powerful statement about the ongoing epidemic and the importance of remembering, healing, and acting. This coming January marks twenty-nine years of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. 
    Show your support for World AIDS Day and take a stand against stigma by wearing a red ribbon.  Friends of SF Pride on Facebook can post the names of friends and loved ones that have been lost to the epidemic.

    You are invited to Pride’s upcoming open house event on Tuesday, December 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The event will take place at Pride’s new office location at 1841 Market Street, which is at the corner of Market and Pearl Street.  Visitors can enter the offices around the corner from Market at 30 Pearl [MAP].  Meet our newest members of the board and enjoy some snacks while getting a tour of the new Pride office.  We hope to see you there!

    The SF Pride office is the central planning location for the 40th anniversary Pride Celebration & Parade.  With the help of our creative and supportive office volunteers, this year will be one of the most exciting ever.  Volunteering in the office can be done on a one-time basis, over a period of a few days, or as an on-going, weekly occurrence.
    We currently need your assistance with a variety of exciting projects. You can help with archiving historical Pride documents, preparing for the new membership year, updating spreadsheets, and sending out mailings. We've moved, so you can even help us to organize our new space.  Our office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays.

    As our 40th anniversary approaches, now is the time to stay strong and stay active. All memberships with SF Pride are currently renewable. Avoid termination of your member voting privileges by completing and sending in a renewal form by December 11, 2009. If you were not present at the AGM, a renewal form has been mailed to you at the most current mailing address we have on file. 
    To update your membership records, please email us or download and print the form here. Completed and signed renewal forms must be received at the SF Pride Offices by December 11, 2009 to avoid the termination of your member voting privileges. Duplicate renewal forms can be obtained by emailing us or by downloading the form here.
