Medical Volunteers

The 2013 San Francisco Pride Celebration & Parade will take place Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30.

Each year, for one weekend in June, hundreds of thousands of participants occupy Market Street and the Civic Center to enjoy and participate in the largest outdoor civic event in California. The need for a safe and welcoming LGBT-positive space is as necessary as ever, and one of the ways to accomplish this is by volunteering with our successful Medical Volunteer Program!

How to Apply

San Francisco Pride is excited to announce that it is joining forces with Rock Medicine for this year's Pride Celebration and Parade. If you are an EMT, Paramedic, MD, PA or RN, become a Medical Volunteer by filling out a Medical Volunteer Application. In the section titled "Program Volunteering For," please indicate San Francisco Pride.

We are asking for a few volunteers on Saturday, June 29, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and are asking for most of the volunteers to join us on Sunday, June 30 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. You choose when and the amount of time you would like to volunteer. Volunteers cover the parade route, celebration area, and first aid station.

 

Volunteer Perks

Medical Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet other community-minded volunteers, be seen by and work among tens of thousands of event-goers, and make new friendships. Some of the other perks include:

• an invitation to the Volunteer and Member Appreciation Party where volunteers will have the chance to win numerous prizes, and a good time can be had by all who attend
• meals & water at Pride
